How it all started...

It all started in 1909 when 35 individuals had a vision for a Baptist Church in their community.  I am sure they never envisioned the changes that would come to this area.  But their step of faith was the birth that laid the foundation for the future. Expanding the vision...

Many families have been instrumental in the growth experienced at Wooley Springs.    Each had a vision and they were willing to take a step of faith.  The last 25  years have seen the building and remodeling  of the  sanctuary.  There has  been the purchase of 20 plus acres on the west side on 251.   Two facilities, a youth and children's area with adult education, were built.  In addition to that we added a  pavilion and playground.   But more than that is the lives changed,  spiritual growth of believers,  missionaries called and sent, mission trips experienced/supported and youth surrender to  the ministry.  
God has truly blessed.

Where we are headed...

     The future is bright at Wooley Springs.  Before COVID we were nearing the start of a new sanctuary on the west side of Hwy 251.  This would eliminate the crossing of Hwy 251.   That has been put on hold.   This time has given us the opportunity to evaluate our schedule and needs.  We still have the desire to get on one side of  Hwy 251 but we are currently seeking God's direction on how we will look.  
    As we move forward , it is never just about facilities.  We will continue  to focus on reaching - teaching - caring for those in our church and community.  Missions will remain a priority!  And whatever we do, it will be for God's glory and to further His kingdom.
